Job Summary:
The Powder Coater-Painter position is responsible for using various painting techniques including powder coating and wet paint spraying.
Duties:
· Prepare material for painting - may include loading, unloading, lifting and moving material
· Operate all painting equipment including spray guns, paint booth and ovens
· Ensure all material is coated/painted uniformly, efficiently and are consistent with established requirements
· Clean and maintain all painting equipment
· Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
· Follow all company rules and policies
· Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
· Follow all safety rules and quality standards
· Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Abilities and Skills:
· Preferrred background in powder coating and wet painting in a manufacturing environment
· Able to stand continuously for long periods of time
· Must use Personal Protective Equipment required for Painters
· Must be versatile and able to adapt to daily requirements
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently
· Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
Education/Experience
· 1 year of powder coating- wet painting experience preferred
